Recently, she had given a statement about Mumbai, due to which she is still in the headlines. Kangana compared Mumbai to PoK and since then there has been criticized by Mumbaikars. While sharing this video, Shilpa has written, "Aurat hi Aurat ki Dushman, Inn ladies ko Kitne paise mile ye shameful act Karne ke Liye?? The same women must have been beaten by their husbands at home, they are taking out the frustration here). Kangana had said on Twitter that 'she is scared of Mumbai Police'. On this tweet of Kangana, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had said, "If Kangana is scared in Mumbai, then she should not come back here."

After this, Kangana had replied on Sanjay Raut's tweet, "Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has openly threatened me and said that I should not come back to Mumbai. First, the streets of Mumbai shouted freedom slogans and now the open threat is being received. Why does this Mumbai look like Pakistan Occupied Kashmir?" After this, Kangana had made a tweet and gave an open challenge that "She will come to Mumbai on September 9 and if anyone dares try to stop her." Even after that, Kangana and Sanjay Raut had a lot of debate and till now the tension between the two continues.
