However, she has now been relieved in this case. On Tuesday, the Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Mumbai granted bail to Shilpa's mother in the case and cancelled the bailable warrant issued against her.

In fact, there was a case against Sunanda in a case of a transaction of Rs 21 lakh. According to the complaint, the owner of the automobile agency had alleged that Shilpa Shetty's father Surendra Shetty took a loan of Rs 21 lakh from him in 2015. But after his death in 2016, the Shetty family has flatly refused to repay the loan. Following the businessman's complaint, the police have also summoned Sunanda along with her daughter Shilpa-Shamita Shetty.

Then when the case reached the court on March 11, 2022, the court had also asked for action against Shilpa Shetty as well as her sister Shamita and mother Sunanda. However, the sessions court has subsequently stayed the investigation process of the case. But the court had only ordered the continuation of the case against Sunanda as she said that her daughters had nothing to do with the case. Finally, now Sunanda has also gotten relief in this case.
