Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was almost all set to give another major blow to his former leader and Shiv Sena supremo. Gajanan Kirtikar, MP from Mumbai's North West Lok Sabha constituency, was also scheduled to join the Shinde faction. Recently, CM Shinde reached Kirtikar's residence to enquire about his health. After that, it was almost decided that he would leave Uddhav. But, after this, Gajanan's son Amol Kirtikar enters. And he convinced his father and he withdrew his decision.
Let us tell you that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has recently appointed Amol Kirtikar as the deputy leader of Shiv Sena. He opposed his father's joining the Shinde faction. The son told his father, "Shiv Sena and party chief Uddhav Thackeray are in trouble. In such a situation, if we leave Uddhav Sahib, then even God will not forgive me. There will be no mean person in the world like me." Thereafter, Kirtikar reversed his decision to join the Shinde faction.
There was talk in the political circles of Maharashtra that another Shiv Sena MP was leaving Thackeray and going to attend the Dussehra meeting in the Shinde group. CM Eknath Shinde went to MP Gajanan Kirtikar's house after surgery on his leg and questioned him. Then Kirtikar also visited the CM's 'Varsha' residence. So it was almost certain that he would leave Thackeray. Meanwhile, reports have also emerged that the Shinde group has offered Gajajan Kirtikar a ministerial post at the Center and an opportunity for his son in the Legislative Council. But at the same time, Uddhav Thackeray appointed Amol Kirtikar as the deputy leader of Shiv Sena. It has also indicated that he is ready to field his son from the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency. Hence Amol Kirtikar also categorically refused to support the Shinde group. Thereafter, Gajanan Kirtikar also changed his decision and decided not to leave Uddhav Thackeray's side.
