New Delhi: Political turmoil in the country has increased over the past few days, while the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal have decided to boycott a meeting convened by PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening over corona. PM Modi has convened a meeting in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha of all political parties on Tuesday evening to brief the House leaders on the situation of corona infection and vaccination in the country.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan is likely to make a presentation at the meeting. SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal said his party will attend the meeting only if he (Prime Minister) convenes a meeting to discuss the issues of annadatas. Sukhbir Singh Badal said, it is shocking that he did not convene any meeting to discuss the issues of annadatas. The poor farmers are fighting a battle and the Government is totally ignoring them. We will not attend this meeting.

The main opposition Congress has also said that it will not attend a government meeting with the leaders of the House of all parties on the Corona transition on Tuesday. Leader of opposition in rajya sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said that congress is not boycotting the meeting but it is not attending it as it wants the government to present facts in both the Houses of Parliament.
