Amritsar: The Punjab Assembly speaker has suspended all the MLAs of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for the rest of the session. During the proceedings of the fifth round of the budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the Akali Dal MLAs created a ruckus. During the discussion on the vote of thanks at the Governor's address, Akali Dal MLAs continued to create a ruckus against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

The proceedings of the House were adjourned for the first 15 minutes amidst heavy noise. After some time, the proceedings of the House resumed, but you and the Akali MLA did not return to the House. CM Amarinder Singh once again started the speech, however again the MLAs who returned to the House started fiercely shouting slogans. Akali Dal MLAs started shouting slogans after reaching Vel.

The speaker first warned the MLAs, after which he said that if you think that the proceedings of the House will not be allowed, then it is the religion of the speaker to run the proceedings. After this, Akali members walked out. Akali Dal MLAs were suspended for the remainder of the session after a warning to postpone them for the first three days.
