If believed in the Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva is known as the part of Trinity, of Brahma, Vishnu Mahesh. He is the Mahesh - God of destruction and also a symbol of mercy. He is the one who gives moksha to devotees, which means he relieves the devotees from the cycle of birth and death.

It is believed that Lord Shiva can be appeased easily. Chanting Mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva helps us overcome troubles and escape our features. There are Shiva Mantras, which are chanted for the removal of sorrow, diseases and troubles from life.

CHANTING SHIVA MANTRAS

There is a belief that by chanting Shiva Mantra, one can improve his/her inner strength and power. When a person chants these mantras daily, his/her soul gets cleansed from all sort of negativity and he escapes the vicious cycle of life and death.

PANCHAKSHARI SHIVA MANTRA

ॐ नमः शिवाय

This is the most common Shiva mantra. This mantra means – “I bow to Lord Shiva!” Devotees chant this mantra 108 times to cleanse their soul and get bestowed by Lord Shiva.

RUDRA MANTRA: SHIVA MANTRA

ॐ नमो भगवते रुद्राय

This Shiva mantra is best used to please Lord Shiva. Devotees chant this Rudra mantra to seek help from Lord Shiva and to get their wishes fulfilled.

SHIVA GAYATRI MANTRA:

ॐ तत्पुरुषाय विद्महे महादेवाय धीमहि तन्नो रुद्रः प्रचोदयात

Perhaps, Gayatri Mantra is the most powerful mantra in itself. However, Shiva Gayatri Mantra is also very powerful and is chanted to seek the peace of mind and appease Lord Shiva.

MAHA MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA: SHIVA MANTRA

ओम त्र्यंबकम याजमाहे सुगंधिम पुष्ठी वर्धनम |

उर्वारुकैमिवा बंधनाथ श्रीमती सुब्रमण्यम ||

This mantra is chanted to appease Lord Shiva and seek his blessings to escape death and destruction. However, this mantra does not help us escape death, but in reality, this mantra helps to overcome the fear of death.

SHIVA DHYAAN MANTRA: SHIV MANTRA

करारचंद्रम वैका कायाजम कर्मगम वी

श्रवणनजम वा मनामम वैद परामहम |

विहितम विहिताम वीए सर मेट मेटाट

क्षासव जे जे करुणाबधे श्री महादेव शंभो ||

This mantra is chanted to appease Lord Shiva and get away with all the sins. Devotees chant this mantra to purify their soul and remove every sort of negativity from life.
