Mumbai:Shiv Sena leader and former MP Anandrao Adsul was taken to a hospital after his health condition deteriorated during a raid by the Enforcement Directorate raid at his residence in connection with City Co-operative bank fraud.

As per reports, Anandrao Adsul was going to be brought to the Enforcement Directorate office for questioning after being detained, but his health condition deteriorated following which he was admitted to Goregaon Hospital.

Adsul is under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate in a case related to the misappropriation of funds at the City Co-operative Bank. He was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Amravati constituency of Maharashtra. The Central probe agency is carrying out searches in the City Cooperative Bank Fraud Case and several leaders from the Shiv Sena party are now under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate. The ED had summoned Anandrao Adsul and his son Abhijeet Adsul to appear before it on Monday but they expressed incapability to appear before the agency due to prior engagements in Delhi. This is the second the investigations are being carried out at Shiv Sena's residence.
