Mumbai: Shiv Sena has attacked the BJP over the Gyanvapi issue. Senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut says that BJP is provoking the issue of 'temple-mosque' for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Referring to the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka, he said that the central government should pay attention to the issue of inflation. The report of Gyanvapi Masjid survey has been filed in the court on Thursday.
It is noteworthy that last week, Raut had said that after the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and in such a situation when a grand temple of Lord Ram is being prepared, then the country needs stability. Talking to media persons in Delhi, Raut said, "I think preparations for 2024 are being done in such a way that all historical and religious places are being excavated to create tension in the country." Raut said that Kashi-Mathura temple is necessary for Hindutva parties like Shiv Sena, but the central government should speak on inflation and other issues. Sanjay Raut said that, 'The issue of Kashi-Mathura temple is necessary for us, but on the issue of contesting elections from both the sides, one should avoid inciting riots. We are watching what is happening in Sri Lanka. All parties should act with caution on such issues.
Sanjay Raut said that elections should be fought in the name of development. He said that after the construction of the Ayodhya temple, such issues should be resolved by consensus. Entire time is being wasted on what lies beneath the Taj Mahal and Jama Masjid. No one is talking about inflation, unemployment and the economic condition of the country. Elections should be fought on these issues.
