Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 6 (NT): The Shiv Sena on Wednesday cleared it will contest the 2019 LS Polls on its own, thus effectively ruling out a tie-up with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Shiv Sena has made clear its strategies to contest the general elections scheduled for 2019.

The political party declared that it would contest the general elections, on its own, without having any association with BJP.

Clearly indicating towards the “Palghar bypoll”, Shiv Sena also said, that they have a clear message from the poll results, that they do not need a poster boy for participating in the general elections.

The party also criticized BJP’S campaign, called “Sampark For Samarthan”, which is being advertised by Amit Shah.

Shivsena chief also raised question that why the BJP is doing 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign after their defeat in the recently-held bypolls.

Motivated to its performance in the recently concluded Palghar bypoll, the Shiv Sena its mouthpiece 'Saamana', asserted the result has given them a message that they don't require any 'poster boy' (read Prime Minister Narendra Modi) to contest elections.

Besides that, the Shiv Sena stated that forming an alliance with the BJP means "means killing your own freedom of 'janadhar'.
