Continuous rainfall increases the water level in Telangana rivers. For this reason, the Godavari now over flowing over flowed an ancient Shiva temple at Kandakurti. On Friday, the water was at a distance of water on the inter-state bridge. In addition to Manjira and Godavari, SRSP received a flow of 1,13,901 cubic feet. Irrigation officials released 49,504 cusecs from the Nizamsagar project into the Manjira River.

In addition, the SRSP project is getting huge flows. It is urging the authorities to release 50,000 CUSECS through 16 flood gates and another 5,500 CUSECS through escape gates after power generation. The Godavari water flowed 30 feet and nearly hit the Telangana-Maharashtra Interstate Bridge, and the Manjira, Godavari and Haridra rivers merged at The Kandakurti Triveni Sangam.

The police warned people not to visit nearby areas by examining the dangerous situation. The revenue officials are taking all precautions and advised people not to go on the river bank and take cattle for feed on the river bank.
