Katni: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has given a statement on Saturday. In this statement, he said, 'His government is working towards stopping alcohol'. On Saturday, he said, ''A campaign will be started soon to urge people to stop drinking alcohol so that Madhya Pradesh can be made a good state". Along with this, Chief Minister Chauhan also said in the rally that, "We want to make Madhya Pradesh a liquor-free state. It cannot be done only by stopping the liquor. If people continue to consume it then supply will continue. And to stop people from drinking alcohol, we will carry out a liquor liberation campaign. We must pledge for it."

During this rally, Shivraj Singh Chauhan also announced that 'In the next three years, every village house in Katni district will be supplied with clean water through drains'. In his address further, he said, 'The poor will be given money to build pucca houses.' Also, there are free treatment facilities up to Rs 5 lakh for about 3,25,000 Ayushman cardholders.

During this, the Chief Minister also asserted, "Madhya Pradesh is the first government to announce the death penalty for misconduct with the daughters of the state. As part of the Muskan campaign, 50 girls have been rescued in Katni." Inaugurating a project, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, "So far 37 people have been sentenced and two have filed mercy petitions."
