CM Chouhan stages sit-in protesting against Kamal Nath's statement

Bhopal: The tussle between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress has started before the by-elections in Madhya Pradesh. Both have started attacking each other. It started when former Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath called BJP's woman candidate Imrati Devi an 'item'. Debate have started following his statement. Now, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has sat on a silent strike today in protest against this statement of Kamal Nath.

It is being said that this strike will last for about two hours. Apart from Shivraj, Jyotiraditya Scindia is sitting on a dharna in Indore and besides these two other BJP leaders are performing silently in different parts. As soon as Shivraj Singh Chauhan went to sit on the dharna, before that he targeted the Congress. He said, "Such statements will not be tolerated, mothers, sisters, and daughters should get the respect the country, we will not tolerate this".

Now talking about Kamal Nath's statement, while campaigning in support of Congress candidate Suresh Raje in Dabra, Madhya Pradesh, he said on the stage, "Surendra Rajesh is our candidate. He is not like her, what's her name? Should I take her name, you know her better than me, 'What is this item'". Apart from him, former leader of opposition Ajay Singh also insulted Imrati Devi. Addressing the public meeting, he said that "the public will make Imrati Devi a jalebi on November 3".
