Bhopal: Today is the birth anniversary of revered goddess Ahilyabai Holkar on May 31. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted his greetings on the special occasion. The Goddess Ahilya Bai Holkar was born on 31st May 1725 in a normal Scindia family in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

Here in 1733 AD, only and at the age of 8, he was married to Khanderao Holkar, son of King Malhar Rao Holkar of Malwa province. She then came to Indore.
