Bhopal: Today is the birth anniversary of revered goddess Ahilyabai Holkar on May 31. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted his greetings on the special occasion. In fact, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted, "Koti Koti Naman on the birth anniversary of lokmata, revered Ahilyabai Holkar ji, who has imbibed the mission sentence of 'Sampathi Sab Raghupati Kai Ahi'! The auspicious mantra of service that you have given with humility will continue to make the pure flame of the welfare of humanity ever divine.''

Apart from him, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has also tweeted. In this tweet, he wrote, "I have nothing of my own here, which I offer to her- Ahilyabai Holkar. Salutations on the birth anniversary of Veerangana Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar ji, a skilled warrior dedicated to the people and motherland, the symbol of nari shakti!'' The Goddess Ahilya Bai Holkar was born on 31st May 1725 in a normal Scindia family in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

Here in 1733 AD, only and at the age of 8, he was married to Khanderao Holkar, son of King Malhar Rao Holkar of Malwa province. She then came to Indore. Let me tell you that Ahilyabai herself was a skilled warrior and a very just governing man who led the wars. At the same time, she was at the forefront of social concern and piety.
