Bhubaneswar: At the end of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, former Madhya Pradesh CM and BJP veteran Shivraj Singh Chouhan has termed India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru as a criminal. Shivraj, who attended the BJP membership campaign in Khordha district of Odisha on Saturday (10th August), told party workers, "Jawahar Lal Nehru was a criminal when the Indian Army was chasing the tribes from Kashmir. If the ceasefire is not announced for a few more days , the whole Kashmir would have been ours . "

"His second mistake was Section 370, two marks in one country, two legacies and two pradhans, not just injustice to the country, but it was an offence with the country," said Shivraj Singh Chouhan. However, after the controversy over the statement, Shivraj made his point in a clean-up tone. He said there is no hesitation in saying that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was responsible for the Kashmir problem.

Since the removal of Section 370 and Article 35A of the Constitution granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi government has been raising voices in support and opposition to it. Some young Congress leaders are also supporting the government's decision and veteran leaders like Digvijay Singh, Mallikarjun Kharge are opposing it.
