Bhopal: On May 1, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh will deposit the stipulated amount of Rs 2990 crore of crop insurance premium into the bank account of the farmers. In 2018, 35 lakh farmers had insurance for the kharif crop.

Out of these 35 lakh farmers, an insurance amount of Rs 1930 crore will be transferred to the bank account of 8 lakh 40 thousand farmers. Please tell that this insurance amount was pending for a long time, which is going to be provided to the farmers by the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government on May 1. It is being told that this insurance amount was stuck due to non-deposit of premium in the previous Kamal Nath-led Congress government.

For information, let us tell you that after the formation of BJP government under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the state, a premium of Rs 2200 crore has been deposited in March itself, after which there was a possibility of getting insurance for the farmers. In this period of Corona crisis and lock down, farmers will definitely get some relief from this amount.
