Patna: The body of gold trader Shivrath Kumar, who went missing from Samastipur district of Bihar, has been recovered. His body was found buried in the courtyard of Raunak Khatoon, with whom he was allegedly in love. The police have arrested Raunak and her husband Mohammad Shah Jahan in this case. Shivrath's body was found on Tuesday (17 May 2022). According to reports, during interrogation, the accused have confessed to beating him to death. According to the report, 23-year-old Shivrath suddenly went missing on 14 May 2022. He was a resident of Mohalla Lakshmipuri of Rosada in Samastipur. After Shivrath went missing, his brother had given a complaint to the Rosda police station. In the complaint, suspicion was raised on 35-year-old Raunak Khatoon, mother of three children of Mohiuddinpur village of Hasanpur police station area. She was told to have a love affair with Shivrath.

When the police interrogated Raunak Khatoon in custody, then the whole secret was revealed. According to the police, Shivrath had come to meet her on the day of the incident. Meanwhile, her husband Shah Jahan, who was already keeping an eye on his wife, also came there. He was stunned to see both of them together. He beat Shivrath mercilessly. Raunak Khatoon also supported her husband in the beating. After the death of Shivrath due to beating, both the accused buried the body in the courtyard of the house. It is being told that Shivrath was beaten up so mercilessly that even his eyes and tongue came out. After the body was buried, firewood was thrown at that place to hide the evidence.

After recovering the dead body, the police station in-charge of Rosda, Ramashish Kamati, has also spoken of a love affair between the two. The call details of both have also revealed the conversation between them. The last location of the deceased's mobile was also found at Raunak's house. According to another report, when caught, Raunak Khatoon told that the two had an illicit relationship for 6 years. The two first met at Hasanpur railway station. Later both of them started talking and later both of them started meeting. Shivrath also wanted to marry Raunak. Raunak has also accused Shivrath of insisting on having a forcible relationship with him and keeping an evil eye on his elder daughter.
