Mumbai: There was a tussle between the BJP and the Shiv Sena for several days in Maharashtra over the assembly elections, but the talk has finally become a matter between the two parties. It is being told that today both the parties can announce seat sharing. According to the sources, according to the agreement reached between the two parties, Shiv Sena will contest 126 seats out of a total of 288 while the BJP will field candidates in 144 seats.

The remaining 18 assembly seats will be given to other smaller parties. There has also been talk about the post of deputy CM of the state. It is believed that the post of Deputy Chief Minister may go to the Shiv Sena. If sources are to be believed, this agreement was reached after a meeting chaired by BJP National President Amit Shah. Shah had held a meeting of the Maharashtra core group, in which the seat-sharing formula was finalized, as well as the electoral strategy. During the meeting, it was also discussed which candidates will get their cards cut this time.

This meeting took place at a time when the BJP in Maharashtra was giving fewer seats to the Shiv Sena, while the Shiv Sena was demanding equal seats. On Saturday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had said that Shah is moving in a good direction and the decision will be announced soon. Uddhav said that he would fulfill his father's promise, he wanted Shiv Sainik to become the CM of Maharashtra.
