Mumbai: Shiv Sena has launched a political attack on Yogi Adityanath government on the pretext of Kanpur shootout. The Shiv Sena has questioned the Yogi government why Vikas Dubey's name was not added to the list of three-year-old 'encounter list'? Shiv Sena has written in the editorial of 'Saamana' that lest Dubey fled to Nepal and became Dawood Ibrahim of Nepal.

Saamana's editorial reads "States like Uttar Pradesh have been famous for many decades because of gangs of goons and their crime. The current CM Yogi Adityanath has ended hooliganism in Uttar Pradesh, many such claims were made many times. But the Kanpur police massacre has raised serious questions on these claims. The state government and the police have now started strict action in this matter. A partner of Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the case, has been arrested and the search for Vikas is going on in full swing."

The manner in which the brutal killing of eight policemen by Vikas Dubey's goons on 2 July is done is an outrage in the entire country. These eight policemen also include a DSP rank officer. The police team had gone to Bikeru village in Chaubepur police station area of Kanpur to catch history-sheeter Vikas Dubey. However, Vikas and his goons started firing indiscriminately at the police team. A total of eight policemen, including Deputy Superintendent of Police Devendra Mishra, three sub-inspectors and four constables were killed in the firing.
