Zaira said that the story of this glare and success was constantly alienating them from Allah and Faith. Shiv Sena criticizes Zaira's decision to leave the world of acting in the name of religion. Priyanka Chaturvedi, who left the Congress a few months ago and joined the Shiv Sena, took a lengthy response on Twitter to Zaira's decision. Priyanka tweeted, "You can follow your faith if it is attracting you, but please don't decide your career on the basis of religion. It describes your religion as intolerant, whereas in reality, it is not. This is also a major retrograde step for their religion and reinforces the misconception that there is no room for tolerance in Islam. '

On the other hand, the BJP has also termed Zaira's decision to quit acting as a coercive decision. BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told the press that "the decision to quit acting on the basis of religion seems to be under pressure." She was also a frequent target of fundamentalists. On the other hand, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah taught everyone to respect Zaira's decision. She was also attacked several times by the hardliners because of his work in the films of Zaira, a Kashmiri origin.
