Mumbai: It is a relief for Raj Thackeray, who is facing ED's interrogation in the IL&FS scam. The Thackeray family, standing opposite to each other in politics, has come together on this issue. Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said here on Thursday that the entire Thackeray family is supporting Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. Defending the CBI action against Chidambaram,Raut said every action by the investigating agencies cannot be termed as political vendetta.

A day before Raut's statement, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had said that he believed that nothing concrete would be found in the ED probe. Raj is The Cousin of Uddhav. Shiv Sena is an ally of the ruling BJP in Maharashtra and the Centre. On the other hand, Raj Thackeray had campaigned against the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections. Raj appeared before the ED here on Thursday morning.

The central agency is investigating the alleged irregularities in equity investment and loans worth Rs 450 crore by IL&FS in Kohinoor CTNL Infrastructure Company. Sanjay Raut, close to the Thackeray family, told the media, "Uddhav Thackeray had made it clear yesterday that nothing concrete will be found against Raj. As Uddhav has supported his brother, his whole family is with Raj Thackeray. "Let the investigation be completed."
