Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray has urged Maharashtra leaders that there should not be any state hooding on the flood situation. During a press conference in Matosree, Uddhav Thackeray said, "Today, the situation in Kolhapur, Sangli and other areas of Maharashtra is very bad and we should not resort to any kind of rule, we all need to come together. Even today, the road to reach there is bad," he said.

Uddhav Thackeray said, "The Shiv Sena is sending all the needy material to the flood victims today. "Ambulances and a team of 100 doctors are being sent," Thackeray added. Only after the water level has come down is we can do something else. Our leaders are working there continuously for the flood victims," he said.

The flood situation in Kolhapur in Maharashtra continues to be very critical. NDRF teams are constantly engaged in evacuation of people from flood affected areas. A video of the rescue operation has surfaced from Kolhapur itself. On Raj Thackeray's election statement, Uddhav Thackeray said, "The situation there is still bad. How can one think about such an election?"
