KARACHI: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar praised the team India headed by Ajinkya Rahane said that India showed passion and commitment to winning. After being reduced to 36 in Adelaide, Team India beat Australia by eight wickets in the second Test in Melbourne and equalized in the series.

Akhtar said on his YouTube channel, "India has really left no stone unturned to feed Australia." Team India showed its skill and passion in the event of an extreme crisis. They showed that they are not among those who never give up. Akhtar appeared more impressed that Rahane played his role effortlessly despite the absence of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami and Rohit Sharma. He further said, "Ajinkya led the team effortlessly. He did not try to catch anyone's attention by making the right changes in bowling and now the success is telling the whole story. It is said that if you work hard quietly, success tells your story. ''

Akhtar then praised his first Test match playing Mohammed Siraj and Shubman Gill, who performed well under pressure. He said, "Siraj lost his father who wanted to see his son playing for India. It was unfortunate. He took out all his anger at Australia and paid a true tribute to his father." Akhtar also said," When you look at Gill, you feel that he is an unmatched batsman that you are going to see in the future. Ravindra Jadeja came into the team and contributed in every field. ''
