While the late Bollywood actor had since played many roles in Bollywood films, but never one as iconic as Sambha, who barely had two-three lines in Sholay and yet is one of the most popular characters in the film. Now, Mac Mohan’s daughters, Manjari (writer-director) and Vinati Makijany (co-writer-producer), are set to make their Bollywood debut, following on their father’s footsteps. The two sisters are in the process of making India’s first skateboarding feature film. Now, you may not have heard of them like some of the other star kids in Bollywood, but Manjari for one has been working in films for over a decade.

According to a report in a leading daily, the film will be based on the life of a teenage girl, living in a village in Rajasthan, who finds the courage to dabble with a skateboard and takes up her passion as a serious career choice.

The writer-director has worked with the likes of Christopher Nolan, Christopher Nolan on Dunkirk and The Dark Knight Rises, with Patty Jenkins on Wonder Woman and with Vishal Bhardwaj as well, in the Priyanka Chopra starrer Saat Khoon Maaf.

Titled Desert Dolphin, the film will trace the journey of 16-year-old Prerna, who takes up skating against all odds after she meets 34-year-old graphic artist Jessica.
