New Delhi: India's veteran shooter and gold medalist shooter Abhishek Verma has said that mental stability is necessary to win an Olympic medal. He won the second gold in the World Cup last week. He said that 'Shooting is more a mental game than a physical one. In the Olympics, we will need different types of mental stability and confidence. I am doing mental exercise, yoga and meditation for this. I have to work on complete preparation but the main focus will be on mental peace. In the final, when you hit the target and there is noise from behind, the focus shifts away. In such a situation, scores of nine or eight start coming. This is the focus. India has a very young team in shooting at the moment and they said that healthy competition among the shooters is helping the shooters. Abhishek said, 'This is a good opportunity because there is so much healthy competition in India. This increases confidence.
