Yamunanagar: An incident of murder has come to light from Yamunanagar district of Haryana. The killing has been carried out on electoral malpractices. The shopkeeper was beaten to death in Bhattuwala village for not voting during the panchayat elections and supporting the opposition candidate and his brother was beaten to death.

Police have registered a case of murder against six persons, including the current Sarpanch, on the complaint of the brother of the deceased in the case. Village Bhattuwala resident Kulbir said in a complaint to the police that he had five brothers.

Two brothers Kuldeep and Jagjit live in the US. His house and Mohan's house are in the village. The 5th brother Jasbir lives in Bilaspur. They have a flour mill and shop in the village. On August 20, Sarpanch Kulwant Singh along with two associates came to the shop. The Sarpanch threatened him by telling him not to vote in the election. Around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, Sarpanch Kulwant Singh came to his mill in the car. The Sarpanch was accompanied by Jasbir Singh, Manjeet, Ravel Singh, Gulshan, and three others.

The Sarpanch began to quarrel over the fact that he did not vote in the election. The accused knocked him down and beat his brother Mohan. When his brother Mohan went inside the mill to save his life, the accused Sarpanch and others beat him badly. This made him unconscious.

He was taken to a private hospital in Ranjitpur where the doctor declared him dead. SHO Police Station Bilaspur Rakesh Rana said that a case is being registered against six persons including Sarpanch. Such violent incidents are often seen in the electoral regalia.
