Amid the covid outbreak in Delhi, Kejriwal has issued a major statement that there is a shortage of covid vaccines in Delhi. CM Kejriwal has said that a vaccination drive has been launched in schools in Delhi. The youth are happy about the system. In the near future, 300 schools are going to have vaccination centers. At present, 1 lakh vaccines are being given daily. Many people are coming from Noida, Ghaziabad, and getting vaccinated. For vaccination in 3 months, Delhi needs 3 crore vaccines whereas so far only 40 lakh vaccines have been received.

Kejriwal further said, "The Central Government should provide us with the proper vaccine, third-wave warning, vaccination is the only one that will protect us from the third wave. Children below 18 years of age cannot be vaccinated, the Centre should make vaccines for them.'' Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal further said in his digital press conference: "Today we are facing acute shortage of vaccine, if we get enough vaccine, we can get the vaccine all over Delhi in 3 months. 1 crore people are in the age group of 18-44 years to vaccinate everyone in 3 months. In all, 1.5 crore people have to get the vaccine and three crore vaccines are needed. So far, we have received a total of 40,00,000 vaccines. So, now in 3 months 2.6 crores more vaccines are required.

Kejriwal further said, "80-85 lakh vaccines are required every month by Delhi, which is going to be administered to all in 3 months. In Delhi 1.5 crore people are above 18 years. Today, we are administering one lakh vaccines every day, by increasing it, we can do 3 lakh vaccines every day. People from NCR areas like Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad are also coming to Delhi. The Central Government is requested to provide us with the proper quantity of vaccines. PMG Principal Scientific Advisor has also said about the third wave and it is very important to intensify the vaccine campaign.
