New Delhi: Shree Cement, the country's main cement manufacturer, has launched a project to honour the brave soldiers. Under this project, the company will provide cement free of cost to the families of Armed Forces Personnel martyred in the past twenty years. The company said in a statement that the project Naman will be launched on Victory Day.

It is worth mentioning that Vijaya Day is celebrated every year on 16 December. The day is celebrated as a celebration of India's victory in the Bangladesh war in 1971 and a commemoration of Indian soldiers. The company said that from January 1, 1990 to January 1, 2019, the family of soldiers who received martyrdom will be provided free cement to build houses in a plot of up to 4000 square feet. The martyr's family can get this free cement from Shree Cement's manufacturing plant in India.

Prashant Bangar, joint managing director of Shree Cement Limited, said that cement is an important component in home construction. We believe that the Naman Scheme will be very helpful in fulfilling the home needs of the martyrs' families. It is an honor for us that we are supporting the family of the soldiers who have laid down their lives for the defense of the country. We salute the martyrs of our country.
