Leading Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal sings her first opera for composer-conservationist Abhishek Ray emulating the voice of the entire planet.

" I wanted to create a global symphony with no language barrier so that the voices of disappearing wildlife reaches out to the entire globe. We have lost 50% of the planet's wildlife in last thirty years." said  Abhishek Ray who is  well known for the music of Bollywood films like Paan Singh Tomar, Welcome Back, I am Kalam etc.

Shreya Ghoshal and Abhishek  have a history of successful film as well as non-film albums together.  Shreya had sung Abhishek's evergreen melodies like Raat Mujhe from Tigmanshu Dhulia's Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Pyaasi -Pyaasi written by the legendary Gulzar as well as the grand Aye Jahaan Aasmaan for which they bagged the prestigious Mirchi Music Award recently .

While talking to media Abhishek said, “ 'Earth voices is a concept album. It refers to a global issue.Shreya Ghoshal is an amazingly versatile singer.  For 'Earth Voices' we have used a different kind of timbre and lilt in her voice. It is the operatic side of her voice. I created a symphony  to overcome the language barrier. So that the audience in the entire world will be able to understand it and it becomes the universal voice of the planet's diminishing wildlife. “

Abhishek Ray  is known for creating India’s first private wildlife refuge- Sitabani Wildlife Reserve and says that if we will not pay attention towards these disappearing endangered animals then even we will soon disappear like them ." I went to remote mountains and dense forests to film the rare animals and landscapes of this grand music video.

Wildlife is nothing but life itself, naturally pertaining to mother earth. If these animals disappear today, we will soon follow, as they are the guardian angels of our freshwater and clean air.”

The makers released 4 teasers in April featuring the mysterious voices of the planet belted out by Shreya along with rare cinematic visuals filmed by Abhishek Ray in and around his sanctuary Sitabani Wildlife Reserve. It depicts the magnificent diversity and fragility of Indian Wildlife and is  released on Earth Day.
