New Delhi: The recent T20 International series against Sri Lanka was a tremendous one for Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas scored three half-centuries, one after the other, off the bat. Not only that, he remained unbeaten in the entire T20 series. He has not been dismissed even once in three matches and this has given him the advantage in the ICC T20I rankings, where Iyer has jumped 27 places in the weekly update.  

Team India defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 and after that, the ICC updated the T20I rankings. This showed that Shreyas Iyer has jumped 27 places after this series. The 27-year-old Shreyas Iyer scored 204 against Sri Lanka at a strike rate of 174. That's why they have reached the top 20 in the ICC's T20 rankings for the first time. He is currently ranked 18th. He was ranked 45th in the ICC T20I rankings before the T20 series against Sri Lanka.  

Team India's fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also gained three places and has reached the 17th position. Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka had scored 75 runs in the second match, on the basis of which he has entered the top 10. At the same time, Virat Kohli did not play in the last T20 series against the West Indies and the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka and has suffered the loss. They have slipped out of the top 10 to number 15.
