The players, who have come to participate in the IPL starting on September 19 in the midst of the global pandemic Covid-19 outbreak, have to spend 7 days in quarantine. Players and officials have gradually reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to prepare for the tournament, but they have to go through many restrictions due to strict rules regarding Covid-19.

Players and officials have been restricted from leaving the hotel room after going to the UAE. Players are making fitness videos from their hotel rooms and sharing them on social media during their 7 days of quarantine. Shreyas Iyer, captain of IPL franchise team Delhi Capitals, has shared a video on his Instagram account. In which he is seen exercising with dumbbells in both his hands.

Strength and conditioning coach Rajinikanth Sivaganam of Delhi Capitals is looking after the practice of the players. After a week of quarantine, players and officials will be tested for coronavirus. After testing negative, they will be allowed to practice on the field. The players' families are not invited with them this time and in such a situation, the coming days will be challenging for them.
