New Delhi: Counting has begun in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Puducherry, Kerala. Trends will start appearing in a short while from now and gradually the picture of the results will become clearer.  This time there is a clash between the Left and the Congress alliance in Kerala. The results of panchayat elections and other polls are also coming up today.

A big piece of information is emerging in the latest trends.  Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee has lagged behind in the Nandigram assembly seat from where Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Suvendu Adhikari is leading. Many are knowing that these trends are considered as the result of the polarization of votes. However, only postal ballot votes have just started counting and the votes of the EVM are yet to be counted.

State that the term of the West Bengal Assembly ends on May 30, 2021. In such a situation, the process of forming the Assembly and the new government is to be completed before 30th May. West Bengal has a total of 294 assembly seats. Mamata Banerjee has been the CM here for the last 10 years. According to trends so far, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 31 seats, while the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has retained 24 seats.
