Kolkata: BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari from Nandigram constituency in West Bengal cast his vote soon after voting began on Thursday morning. He reached Nandnaik Bar Primary School at around 7.30 am to cast his vote on the bike. Talking to the press, Suvendu said he was confident that CM Mamata Banerjee would lose the election. There is stiff competition between the Suvendu and Mamata in the Nandigram seat.

"I have a very old relationship with the people of this area," Suvendu added. I have personal relationships with almost every person in Nandigram. I am sure I will win the election. He said, 'I would appeal to the people to get early and vote. There were reports of difficulties at some booths, but now they have been corrected. Polling is going on peacefully. Suvendu said he would try to go to all booths in the constituencies. The BJP leader claimed that TMC has failed to deploy agents at all booths. He has said, "It shows that Mamata Banerjee will not win the election.''

In addition, He said that Mamata Banerjee is an 'aunt' of 66 years. She should not be involved in rascals, but they should exercise restraint. Suvendu said that he is a scammer of the state, she needs to exercise restraint. The kind of language she uses for PM is really not correct. He further said that Mamata's path will be cleared when the results come on May 2.
