This being the situation, I urge @CMofKarnataka to postone the K-CET exams which was scheduled on 25 July, in the interest of candidates from North Karnataka.
Recently, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wrote in a tweet: "Many parts of north Karnataka have been submerged due to heavy rains. People have lost both connectivity and communication. Siddaramaiah also tweeted in this regard.'' He said, "This is the situation, I urge the @CMofKarnataka to postpone the K-CET examinations scheduled for July 25 in the interest of the candidates.'' Let me tell you all that the India Meteorological Department (IMS) has predicted heavy rains in many districts of Karnataka, many of which are already flooded. The MET department has issued a red alert for Udupi, Uttar Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada as well as south interior Karnataka, Hassan, Kodagu, and Shivamogga.
At the same time, The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has deployed disaster response teams in rain-hit areas of Uttar Kannada for rescue and relief of stranded people. Officials said, "So far 155 people have been rescued.'' Let me tell you that the written examination of army recruitment proposed on 25th July at Eklavya Stadium in Agra has been postponed. In fact, candidates from six districts were supposed to appear in the written examination, but the examination has been postponed due to corona infection and bad weather conditions.
