Bangalore: Amidst political turmoil in Karnataka, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has claimed that Yeddyurappa is being removed from the CM post. Siddaramaiah has claimed that the RSS does not want to see Yeddyurappa as CM and he will be removed from the post by April this year.
It may be noted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who visited Karnataka on Saturday, had said that not only will BS Yeddyurappa complete his current term, but the BJP will return to power with a full majority in the next election. Earlier, Shah said on Saturday, "I have been reading the statements of the Congress leaders that it will happen in Karnataka, but I want to tell everybody that the BJP government will not only complete the five-year term but return to power with an absolute majority". Following Amit Shah's statement, leader of opposition in the assembly Siddaramaiah said that even though the Home Minister has said that Yeddyurappa's innings will continue as CM, it is only for the name, according to union leaders, Yeddyurappa will be removed from the post of Chief minister after April.
Yeddyurappa has recently expanded the cabinet in the state, but many MLAs are not happy because they are not able to find a place in the cabinet.
