Sidharth Malhotra is one of the renowned actors in Bollywood. He is back with his upcoming film Mission Majnu in which he is playing the role of the spy. The movie is based on the period after Pakistan lost the 1971 war to India. Sidharth is playing the role of the spy from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), a foreign intelligence agency of the central government.

The actor is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film. Sidharth in a recent interview opens with a comparison with Alia Bhatt’s film Raazi. He said. "It is never a bad thing if people are trying to find a reference point for a film. It (Raazi) is a good film. It doesn't feel like it is such an alarming thing. Yes, the elements on the outer periphery seeing the trailer might look similar. It is in the same decade has similar elements.”

He further explained his point said, “I think the experience is completely different. It is only fair to speak to people after January 20, once they see the film... I think it is fair (the comparison), and we will have a better conversation when the film is out and we could discuss it. Comparison with a good film is always welcome, it is not a bad thing at all."

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, Mission Majnu is based on true events from the 1970s. The trailer showed Sidharth playing the 'simple' tailor who moves in and out of key places in Pakistan to report back to India about their nuclear facility. Rashmika, who plays his wife Nasreen, is part of his cover story across the border.
