When Bollywood stars take on a new film, they go to great lengths to ace their role. Sometimes, they even undergo military training for roles that need it. However, at times, the emotional space is also needed to be revisited to ace the role.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have been trying to slip into the life of Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra for their film Shershaah. While the first schedule of the shoot has begun, Sidharth and Kiara commenced the shoot from the brave heart’s hometown Chandigarh.
As per a report in DNA, Sidharth and Kiara went to Chandigarh to meet Captain Vikram Batra’s family. While meeting them, Sid and Kiara got a chance to sift through the Kargil War hero’s family album. The two went through every detail in it so that they can do justice to their character in the film.
Sidharth who is playing the role of the Paramvir Chakra the awardee has gone to great lengths to ace the role and has done military training as well.
Kiara, on the other hand, will be seen playing Captain Vikram Batra’s girlfriend’s role, Dimple Cheema. As per the report, “During the Chandigarh schedule, Sidharth and Kiara not only got to meet and interact with the late Capt Vikram Batra’s kin but also got to see his family album to better understand the kind of person he was.”
A while back, Sidharth and Kiara shared photos of the time they were going through the family album together on social media. The two surely are working hard to fit the skin perfectly. Helmed by Vishnu Vardhan, Shershaah will be based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra who was a hero in 1999 Kargil War against Pakistan. It is being produced by Karan Johar.
