Siju Wilson who started off his career in Malayalam cinema with the 2010 film ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ is entering a new phase in his career and life. The actor who has portrayed multiple characters on screen is all set to mark his strong presence in the industry with the upcoming film ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’. Directed by ace filmmaker Vinayan, the upcoming movie is a period drama based on Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, a fiery Ezhava chieftain, warrior, and social reformer.

“ Vinayan sir decided to cast me in ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’ after watching my performance in ‘Varane Avashyamund’. He was impressed by my avatar in ‘Varane Avashyamund’. And thought that my physique and the overall avatar might go well with their character Panicker,” Siju Wilson recalls as he takes a walk down the memory lane.

Siju Wilson has invested his best for the role. The team had completed 89 days shoot and have taken a temporary break owing to the current covid situation. Siju Wilson surely has invested his blood, sweat, and tears for ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’, but the young actor is grounded and says that all he did was following the filmmaker’s directions!

I did my research on Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker. And then, Vinayan sir shared everything I needed to know about my character. As an actor, I think I focused a bit on the dialogues. The movie is set in the 19th century. So I had to stick to the particular dialect and deliver the dialogues accordingly.  And I had to take training for Kalaripayattu and horse-riding. Vinayan sir had clarity of what he wanted and all I did was follow his directions. I submitted myself to the director’s vision," he relayed.
