Sikar murder case: Police encounter with accused who killed Raju, all 5 arrested

Jaipur: Notorious gangster Raju Thehat was shot dead in Sikar, Rajasthan on Saturday (December 3). All the accused have been arrested by the police. DGP Umesh Mishra has informed that all the five accused in the Raju Thehat murder case are in police custody. Three accused had an encounter with the police, in which two accused were shot in the leg. Both have been admitted to the hospital.

The accused have been identified as Manish Jat and Vikram Gurjar, residents of Sikar district, Satish Kumhar, Jatin Meghwal, and Naveen Meghwal, all residents of Bhiwani district in Haryana. All arms and ammunition have been recovered from the accused. Let us tell you that gangster Raju Thehat was shot dead in Sikar city last Saturday. Another person was also shot dead in this firing. Police had imposed a state-wide blockade and sealed borders with Punjab and Haryana to arrest the five accused involved in the incident.

Raju Thehat was the rival of gangster Anandpal Singh, who was killed in a police encounter in 2017. Raju Thehat had several criminal cases registered against him and was currently out on bail. A CCTV footage of the incident, which took place in broad daylight, showed the attackers standing at the main door of Thehat's house. When the attackers reached Raju Thehat's door, a tractor-trolley also reached in front of the house and stopped there. As soon as he stopped, the attackers opened fire on Raju Thehat. The tractor driver is also suspected to be involved in the incident. In another footage, the attackers are seen running away with weapons in their hands.
