Following the direction of Panch Singh Sahiban, the Executive Committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has taken strict action against the current Chief Officer, Staff, Retired Chief Secretary Harcharan Singh as well as CA SS Kohli in the case of missing sacred forms. In the executive meeting held at Valla Medical College on Thursday evening, 15 officers including the current Chief Secretary of SGPC, staff and a Meet Secretary of the Dharma Prachar Committee were also acted.

Dr. Roop Singh, the then Chief Secretary of SGPC and the Secretary during the incident, had sent his resignation to Chairman Gobind Singh Longowal before the meeting. The SGPC accepted the resignation of Dr. Roop Singh and ordered to take departmental action against him. The services of Chartered Accountant SS Kohli, who have run parallel system in SGPC for more than a decade, have also been terminated immediately.

According to the investigation report, it was decided to take legal action to recover 75 percent of the payments made to the CA so far. CA has been prosecuted on charges of laser manipulation. According to sources, the laser was not audited for the last 10 years. The executive accused the then chief secretary, Dr. Harcharan Singh, of failing to carry out his responsibilities. Not done There are signs of collusion with the employees of Harcharan Singh in this sensitive matter. Being the chief administrator of the largest religious organization of the Sikhs, he handled his responsibilities properly. It was decided to take legal action against them.
