Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba which hit the silver screen last Friday has become one of the biggest hits of 2018. The film has been directed by Rohit Shetty . Within a week of its release the action-packed masala entertainer touched the Rs 150 crore mark and now it earned over Rs 9 crore on its eighth day.

Simmba has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. It earned Rs 75 crore in its opening weekend. It got Rs 14.49 crore at the box office on Thursday and has proven to be a blockbuster hit in its second week as well.

Declaring the movie has made Rs 9.02 crore on Day 8 increasing its total to Rs 159.83 crore, famous trade analyst Taran Adarsh  wrote on his Twitter handle, "#Simmba starts Week 2 with a bang... Will cross Rs 175 cr in Weekend 2 itself... Will make an entry into Rs 200 cr Club before Week 2 concludes... [Week 2] Fri 9.02 cr. Total: Rs 159.83 cr. India biz."

Worth mention here Simmba is the official remake of south superstar Jr NTR's hit flick Temper.  It also stars actor Sonu Sood in a key role.
