Bollywood and South actress Simran Bagga is celebrating her 45th birthday today. Born on April 4, 1976, Simran grew up in a Punjabi environment. She debuted in Hindi movies with Sawan Kumar Tak's movie Sanam Harjai. After which, she was also seen in Amitabh Bachchan's corporation movie Tere Mere Mera Sapna. But, she made a far more name in the films of the South.  

She achieved great success in Tamil and Telugu movies. Simran first acted as a child artist in the 1986 movie 'Ek Chaddar Maili Si'. In it, she played the role of Hema Malini's daughter. After which her first Hindi movie 'Sanam Harjai' was released in 1995. But the film didn't last much. She did many Hindi movies (Muqaddar, Bal Brahmachari, Angara), but Simran got recognition from the 1996 movie 'Tere Mere Sapne' with Arshad Warsi. She later also appeared to be doing small roles in several Hindi films (Kacche Dhage, Anadi No.1, Sirf Tum, Yuva).

Simran has been in a lot of discussions about her personal life. Simran's name has also been linked with South superstar Kamal Haasan. In 2002, the news of Kamal Haasan and Simran's closeness gained momentum. Simran, who had worked in the 2002 Tamil film 'Panchatantraam', had given her heart to Kamal Haasan, who was 22 years older than herself.  

In this movie, he worked with Kamal Haasan. However, Kamal-Simran's relationship did not last long.  According to media reports, Simran was 22 years younger than Kamal Hassan. Simran ran Aferay with the 22-year-old actor. Simran put the brakes on all speculations by marrying her childhood friend Deepak Bagga on December 2, 2003. Simran, who has been a star actress in Tamil and Telugu films, has her real name Rishibala Naval. They have two sons, Adheep and Adit. Simran is very active on social media, she shares pictures of herself and her children every day.   

Her Tamil film 'VIP', which came out in 1997, was a super hit and Simran became known as the star. For this film, she also won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut-South. After which, Simran also gave many hit movies in Tamil and Telugu. Between 1998 and 2004, Simran proved to be the superstar of the South. Simran, who started her film career with glamorous characters, has also played many offbeat and serious roles after being stable, but the media has always portrayed her as the 'sex symbol' of the South film industry.
