Vizag Steel’s corporate unit, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited has named P V Sindhu, Rio Silver medalist badminton champion as their new brand face.  This will also mean that Vizag steel will be a partner in sponsoring the Indian Badminton player. From now on, P V Sindhu’s jerseys and t-shirts will have a Vizag Brand logo on it in every domestic and international events she plays in.

Although this deal is just one of the many made after the Rio Olympics in which Sindhu became India’s first female athlete to win a silver medal. Currently she is also the first athlete to win back-to-back medals at the World Badminton Championships.

When asked her about her views on this exposure, Sindhu replied “Badminton calendar has expanded with at least three major international events happening every month and it is important to choose the right events to improve rankings and also avoid fatigue. An association from a trusted brand certainly helps me concentrate on my game and relieves me of all the off-court concerns".
