New Delhi: Another study on the effectiveness of the corona vaccine has been conducted in the country. The study was conducted by Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. This study has revealed that a dose of vaccine is not effective on symptomatic patients. It has also been revealed that both doses reduce the risk of death by 97 percent.

Gangaram Hospital conducted the study between March 1 and May 31 this year. This was the time when delta variants were wreaking havoc in Delhi. This study has been conducted only on hospital staff. The hospital reported that by April 30, 2,716 of its 4,296 employees had received both doses of Covishield, and 623 had a single dose. There were 927 people in the study who did not get a single dose. The hospital reported that the RTPCR report of its 560 employees had come positive. Of these, 458 had mild, 57 had normal symptoms and 26 had serious symptoms. 6 also died.

The study revealed that both doses of vaccine are also not effective on symptomatic patients. At that time, two doses of Covishield were given at a distance of 30 days. The study revealed that both doses of the vaccine are only 28 percent effective on symptomatic patients. However, it is effective up to 67 percent on mild and moderate patients. However, the good thing is that the risk of death decreases by 97 percent after both doses.
