Nashik: A shocking incident is coming to the fore from the Nashik district of Maharashtra where some women in the village beat up a widow. After that, her face was blackened and paraded in the whole village wearing a garland of shoes. It was said that the woman's husband had died under suspicious circumstances. The woman had raised questions about her husband's death.

Actually, it was told that the incident took place on Monday in the village, 65 km from Nashik city. The person living in the village had died in a suspicious condition. The last rites of the deceased were performed. Thereafter, further rites were performed at the house of the deceased. It is said that due to the sequence of events, the woman raised questions about the death of her husband. She wanted to know the truth of her husband's death from her in-laws. On this, her sister-in-law was annoyed by the woman's questions. She along with other women of the village beat the widow a lot. Even this did not satisfy them, so they blackened her face and paraded her in the whole village wearing a garland of shoes.

Someone informed the police about the inhuman treatment being done to the victim. On receiving the information, the police reached the village and rescued her from the clutches of the people. According to the police officer, the woman got hurt during the fight. However, neither side has filed a case. The police officer said that the victim was recently injured in a road accident, and after that, the husband left her at her maternal home. He had also gone to meet the woman twice along with his daughters. However, when she was at her parent's house, her in-laws told her that her husband had committed suicide.
