Six people with arms were detained by a joint CRPF and police operation in Lower Assam's Dhubri district on Saturday morning, police said. On the premise of a tip, the 48 Battalion CRPF's Quick Action Team and Dhubri police searched Anisur Rahman's residence in Amerbhita, Choto Bajjani, on the outskirts of Dhubri town, and detained six suspected criminals.

According to a police officer, the squad confiscated one country-made weapon, six live 9 mm pistol bullets, and various narcotic drugs from Anisur's residence during the operation. Two walkie-talkie handsets, four cell phones, a CCTV system, and Rs 5000 in cash were also recovered from Anisur's residence. Golam Hussain, a resident of Chagolchora P-ll, Jalaluddin, a resident of Bhashanir Char, Rabial Hoque, a resident of Ironjongla, Hasenur Rahman, a resident of Chagolchora P-ll, and Moklesur Rahman, a resident of Choto Bajjani were among those arrested.

According to the police official, the police transported all six accused, along with the seized items, to Dhubri Sadar Police Station and filed a complaint against them.
