New Delhi: A major decision has been taken on Saturday, regarding the appointment of Governors. According to information provided by the President's Press Secretary Ashok Malik, Anandiben Patel has been appointed as the new Governor of Uttar Pradesh. She was the Governor of Madhya Pradesh till now. In addition, the present Governor of Bihar Lalji Tandon has been appointed as the new Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

As per the information provided by Rashtrapati Bhavan, Jagdeep Dhankar has been appointed as the new Governor of West Bengal. Ramesh Bass has been given the responsibility of Governor of Tripura. Fagu Chauhan has been appointed as the new Governor of Bihar. R N Ravi has been appointed Governor of Nagaland. The Rashtrapati Bhavan has said that the appointment of all these Governors will come into effect from the day they will take over the office.

Kalraj Mishra, who was the Cabinet Minister in the Modi government on July 15 this month, was appointed the governor of Himachal Pradesh by the President. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat has been shifted to the Governor of Gujarat. This was the first such major appointment to the post of the governor after the Modi government returned to power for the second consecutive time in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
