Sixth Eastern Economic Forum: PM Modi says, “India is a reliable partner of Russia”

PM Narendra Modi addressed the 6th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) being held in Russia on Friday, September 3. . During this met, PM Modi said that I am happy to address the Eastern Economic Forum and thank President Putin for this honor. He said that India is a reliable partner of Russia.

The Prime Minster said, 'Sangam' has a special meaning in Indian history and civilization. It implies the confluence of rivers, people, ideas or coming together,  adding that  "Vladivostok in my view is really the 'confluence' of Eurasia and the Pacific. I appreciate President Putin's vision for the development of the Russian Far East. India will be a reliable partner of Russia in realizing this vision.

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri is also leding an official and business delegation to Russia to participate in the 6th Eastern Economic Forum EEF Summit in Vladivostok. This will be the first overseas visit of Petroleum Minister Puri since assumption of the office as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Notably, Russian President Vladimir Putin organizes the Eastern Economic Forum every year. The Eastern Economic Forum started on September 2 in Vladivostok, Russia and will continue till September 4. The key objective of this forum is to expand international cooperation and support economic development in the Asia Pacific region.
