Srinagar: Last week, terrorists attacked an Indian Air Force convoy near Shahsitar in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. In the attack, Air Force soldier Corporal Vicky Pahade was martyred, and four other security personnel were injured. Security forces have released sketches of two Pakistani terrorists responsible for the attack and announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for information leading to their arrest. Following the incident, a major search operation is underway in the Shahsitar area, with armed bulletproof vehicles and dog squads deployed to trace the terrorists.
Today, the mortal remains of Corporal Vicky Pahade were brought to Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, by a special army helicopter. The soldier's family, along with Air Force officers, soldiers, and city residents, paid their respects as the body was taken to his residence. Corporal Pahade, survived by his wife and a 5-year-old son, was the only brother among three sisters. His funeral will be conducted with full military honors.
State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also paid homage to the martyred soldier, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation. Meanwhile, the state government announced plans to propose financial assistance of Rs 1 crore each to the families of two soldiers from Madhya Pradesh who were martyred in the last two days. The proposal includes assistance to the family of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Mahendra Bagri, martyred in Shahdol, and to the family of Corporal Vicky Pahade, who lost his life in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The emotional farewell to Corporal Vicky Pahade witnessed a large gathering in Chhindwara, symbolizing the nation's gratitude for his sacrifice.
