Skoda Auto India announced on Tuesday that the production of new Kodiaq SUVs has been started at Aurangabad Manufacturing Plant in Maharashtra. The updated Kodiaq 7-seater SUV has undergone a number of improvements in terms of design and aerodynamics. At the same time, a number of features are also being provided in the exterior and interior of the SUV. Skoda Kodiaq was launched globally and first in the country in the year 2017. After the Closure of the Indian Market in April last year due to BS-6 norms, India of Kodiaq Skoda is set to rejoin the series.
Based on the famous MQB platform: The Czech car brand is set to launch a new Kodiaq SUV in the country in January next year, hoping to replicate the success of the Kushak SUV launched earlier this year. The facelift model is based on the car manufacturer's internationally acclaimed MQB platform. For this reason, its safety, driving mobility, comfort, and technology are expected to be very spectacular.
Company Statement: Facelift Skoda Kodiaq is the second SUV introduced by the brand in India this year, aimed at further strengthening its position in the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment in the country. Trim & Variants: The new Kodiaq SUV had already been launched in global markets. Its top-spec RS variant contains a powerful TSI petrol engine. The model is introduced in Active, Ambition and Style trim levels as well as L&K, Sportline, and RS variants. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the RS version of the new Kodiaq is going to be launched in India as well.
Engine & Power: The new 2022 Skoda Kodiaq (2022 Skoda Kodiaq) SUV is set to come with the new 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The engine is going to generate 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is going to have a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox. It is going to be available with AWD (all-wheel drive) system which is standard throughout the model lineup. There will be no option of the diesel engine with this car.
Features: This SUV offers electrically adjustable leather ergonomics seats as well as new seat designs. The more features it has are the existing models. The new 2022 Skoda Kodiaq comes with the brand's 10.25-inch virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, 10-speaker Canton sound system, automatic climate control, and ambient lighting. The existing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be replaced with a large 9.2-inch unit, which is being introduced in the global-spec model.
