The market on Friday opened slow as rupee went low at 66.75 per dollar against Thursday's close of 66.69. Sensex fell down by 56 points at 28,050 and the Nifty fell 24 points to 8,686.
The only earner in this fiscal was TATA Steel’s domestic steel who’s sales increased 22.3 percent in the second quarter to 2,624 million tonnes. Tata Steel shares were up 0.76 per cent atRs. 392.80.
The market is expected to be slow and low for the rest of the day.
